Description
What is Lozap N tabl. 50mg/12.5mg x 30 and what is it used for:
Lozap H is a combination of an angiotensin II receptor antagonist (losartan) and a diuretic (hydrochlorothiazide). Angiotensin II is a substance produced in the body that binds to receptors in blood vessels and causes them to constrict. As a result, the pressure in the blood vessels increases. Losartan prevents the binding of angiotensin II to these receptors, relaxing the blood vessels, and this, in turn, leads to a decrease in blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide stimulates the excretion of water and salt as it passes through the kidneys. This also helps in reducing blood pressure.
Lozap H is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure).
