What is Trifas tablet 200 mg x 30 and what is it used for:

Trifas® 200 mg contains the active substance torasemide and is a medicine from the group of loop diuretics. Torasemide increases the formation and excretion of urine and lowers the blood pressure.

Treatment with Trifas® 200 mg is only suitable for patients with severe renal impairment. Your doctor can determine the extent of disfunction of your kidneys through blood tests.

Trifas® 200 mg maintains the excretion of residual urine in severely impaired renal function. It is also effective if you are on dialysis. In these cases, however, the excretion of residual urine should be at least 200 ml in 24 hours.

Trifas® 200 mg is used in adults to treat:

• swelling (stagnation of fluids in the tissues);
• effusions (collection of fluid in the body cavities);
• very high blood pressure.

White, round, slightly biconvex tablet with bevelled edges and a score line on both sides.

Trifas® 200 mg is available in packs of 20, 30, 100 or 200 tablets.
